Derek Treanor

As a senior, Board level risk and finance professional, Derek has extensive experience in risk management, internal audit, finance and leading organisational change. A Chartered Accountant, Derek is the former Group Chief Credit Officer for Virgin Money Group, a role which was accountable for all lending and credit related activities covering credit policies, lending standards and the quality of a variety of lending portfolios.  Derek chaired and facilitated a number of senior level governance committees when executing his responsibilities.  Derek’s past roles also include senior positions within Internal Audit; Finance; and Financial Governance teams.  Derek is currently employed as a consultant providing advisory services in relation to risk management.
