About the role

What is the definition of regeneration? For some, it’s bringing swathes of neglected land back into use; for others, it’s building attractive buildings for people to live and work in.

Physical regeneration is a golden opportunity to drive real economic and social benefit through communities, often providing a springboard to transform people’s lives.

The role will be drive be instrumental in driving Wheatley’s involvement across Scotland.  The role will focus on key regeneration programmes and projects, including Wheatley Homes Glasgow’s Transforming Communities Programme, Red Road, Govan/Ibrox, Wyndford, as well as Wheatley Homes South’s Lochside, Dumfries and other emerging projects.

All this will help us achieve our vision of ‘Making Homes and Lives Better’.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will want to deliver complex and challenging projects, keeping the community and tenant at the heart of everything we do.  Developing strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and funders, project will progress from RIBA stage 0 through to RIBA 4.

The ideal candidate will coordinate the strategic aims and briefs, appoint consultancy teams, coordinate design development, undertake viability assessments, secure funding packages and create deliverable housing led regeneration projects through the planning process.
