First Minister visits new Gallowgate homes

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has visited our great new-build homes being built in the Gallowgate.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon backs Wheatley's £185m funding deal

The new development will be made up of 115 homes for social rent and 28 for mid-market rent.

It’s the second phase of the Gallowgate new-build programme, after 62 homes were built by GHA in 2013.

The £17m development is a mix of houses and flats, with 14 of the flats adapted for wheelchair users. The homes should be ready by early 2020.

The new homes are another way GHA is helping improve our communities and are listening to customers.

The First Minister was in Glasgow in July to back £185 million of new funding for Wheatley Group - GHA's parent company - from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to help build and improve thousands of affordable homes across Scotland.
