Professor Paddy Gray OBE
First appointed 25 May 2017.
Paddy is one of the UK housing sector’s most eminent figures is regarded as an authority on housing strategy and social policy, nationally and internationally. In 2017, he was named the top “Power Player” in the UK housing sector by trade magazine 24 Housing.
He is Professor Emeritus of Housing at the University of Ulster and has had more than 300 publications on housing-related issues. He continues to regularly contribute to international conferences and seminars as well as act as an external examiner for housing degrees at several universities and professional bodies
Paddy has a wide range of Non-Executive experience including as the first Irish President of the UK Chartered Institute of Housing, having previously served as Vice President and Treasurer. His awards include Honorary Fellowship of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors 2012, Belfast Ambassador of the Year Award 2014 Visit Belfast, Outstanding Contribution to Work Experience. National Undergraduates Employability Awards UK 2015
In 2020 he was awarded an OBE for services to housing.
He is a Visiting Professor at Fujian Jiangxia University China and Spiru Haret University Bucharest Romania
