Warmer, more secure homes and new lifts in multis

Tenants in Carntyne are benefiting from the structural improvements and internal insulation being carried out on homes there, with close to £5million spent in the past year.

New external wall insulation was also installed on 60 homes in Riddrie, and on 18 homes in Sannox Gardens, at a combined cost of almost £300,000.

Almost 70 homes in Cumbernauld Road also benefitted from new close doors and controlled entry systems which cost £72,000.

Another 102 homes have had new boilers installed after GHA spent £147,000 on the improvements.

More than 250 tenants in the high-rise blocks at Ruby Street, Baltic Street and Helenvale Street are feeling the benefit of new lifts which have been installed at a cost of almost £2million.
