Neighbours celebrate new North Pollok homes

A new development of 67 new modern, spacious, energy-efficient GHA homes has just been completed in Meiklerig Court, North Pollok.

And new tenants got together for a ‘meet your neighbours’ event last week

The event included a spectacular fireworks display, as well as a hot dog and burger stall – and free glow sticks for youngsters.

GHA staff were also on hand with house-warming gift of a doormat – and information on all the ways GHA can help.

Around 70 residents were there.

Tenant Celine Marshall, pictured with kids Randall, 5, and Dorian, 2, said: “The kids loved the fireworks and the glowsticks. There was a really nice atmosphere and I was chatting away with the other young mums with kids too.”

Joanne Diamond, GHA’s Locality Director for the area, said: “I know how much tenants are enjoying living in these modern, spacious energy-efficient homes.

“It was great to see neighbours enjoy the event, get to know each other and lay the foundations for a great community.”
