It's Easterhouse - but not as we know it

These stunning images may look like they are from a remote Highland glen – but they were taken in the heart of Glasgow’s east end.

Tenant John Evans, from Easterhouse, took these beautiful photographs of Bishop Loch and the surrounding area.

John, 52, regularly goes for long walks in the area, which is part of the Seven Lochs Trail, running from Hogganfield Park in Ruchazie to Drumpellier Country Park in Coatbridge.

And he enjoys taking photos while he does so.

John said: “Bishop Loch starts right outside my front door. It’s a real hidden gem in the middle of Easterhouse.

“I have deer in my back garden and I see buzzards flying around regularly too. It’s amazing.

“I’ve always been keen on nature. I do a lot of walking and like taking photos with my little digital camera when I’m out.

“I can’t believe the transformation in Easterhouse. I feel really safe here too.

“It’s a beautiful place.

“Living here is like winning the Lottery.”
